How do I book a session?

What do I need to bring with me to a session?
Feel free to bring any props that you would like to have included in the photos.
For dogs, I have a wide assortment of treats and squeakers available to use during the session.
For cats, exotics or special needs dogs - please bring their favorite snack with you.
Do you offer mini sessions?
Yes! Mini sessions are offered on a limited basis and often sell out. Join our email list to be the first to know when new mini sessions are available.
Where do your sessions take place?
All sessions take place inside of PUP - A Super Neat Dog Boutique in downtown Carl Junction, MO.
Sessions are scheduled when the boutique is closed and include a complimentary private shopping experience!
Can I have photos taken outside or at my home?
I do not currently offer outdoor or on-location sessions.
Can I be in the photos with my dogs?
Absolutely! In fact, I highly encourage clients to join in at least a couple of photos with their pets at the end of the session. These often end up being among their favorite photos!
My dog doesn't sit or stay very well. Is that okay?
No problem! We operate on patience and persistence. I will guide you during the session on where to stand and how to interact with your dog. It only takes a split second to capture a photo, so no need to worry if they don't want to be still for too long.
My dog is nervous/reactive around strangers. Can we still have photos taken?
Yes! We will take our time at the beginning of the session to ensure your dog is comfortable in the studio. Many times, this involves me completely ignoring your pet for as long as they need.
For very reactive dogs, I ask that you let me know before the session what triggers your dog has so that I can remove as many of these barriers as possible.
My dog has special needs. Can we still book a session?
Absolutely! Special needs pets hold a very dear place in my heart. We will work together to identify any and all accommodations that need made prior to your session.
Do you photograph cats and other animals?
Yes! I photograph all types of animals.
What type of products do you offer?
Matted + framed prints, tailor-made wall art, digital files and more.
Many of our products are handcrafted in Italy!
